NATO Air-Land Integration Study
The JAPCC has recently been asked to take a strategic look at Air-Land Integration (ALI) as a larger part of the CAS/FAC program of work. The objectives of the NATO Air-Land Integration Study are: 1. Examine the overall ALI process to ensure the ways and means support the stated strategic ends. 2. Examine the critical need for closer coordination between the services from a strategic perspective. 3. Provide a framework/umbrella document for further work. 4. Identify possible options for future operations.
This study will attempt to find seams and leverage points to improve the overall process of coordinated effort. In the broadest sense, it will identify ways in which land and air components can better work together to meet national as well as international objectives.
As the JAPCC embarks on this extensive undertaking, we will undoubtedly identify additional issues and areas worthy of in-depth examination.
